Onyx and Sentinel, side by side
Both series share the same alloy, the same seal material, and the same deployment. They differ in how heavy the profile is. Onyx runs a 2.50 mm plank wall against Sentinel's 2.00 mm, which is why we recommend it once an opening needs 4 feet of protection or more. Sentinel covers heights from 3 to 6 feet and is the right answer for most Tampa Bay homes.

How many panels do you need?
Panels stack to whatever height the opening calls for. These are the published configurations; your installer specs the exact count against your FEMA flood zone and base flood elevation at the free assessment.
| Protection height | Panels required |
|---|---|
| 3.28 ft | 5 panels |
| 3.90 ft | 7 panels |
| 5.28 ft | 8 panels |
| 5.90 ft | 10 panels |
Deployment, in three steps
- 1
Stack your panels
Drop each plank down the mounted U-channel posts. They seat in order, bottom seal first.
- 2
Tighten the bolts
Use the included Allen wrench to tighten each plank and secure the upper locking plate.
- 3
Be protected
The stack is watertight. One person, typically under 10 minutes for a standard opening.
Specification questions
Panels and posts are 6063-T6 aluminum, an extruded architectural alloy. Fittings are cast aluminum and all hardware is stainless steel, which is what keeps the system resistant to weather and salt corrosion. The seals are EPDM rubber.
