Privacy policy.

Hydro Dam LLC operates thehydrodam.com. This page explains what we collect when you request an estimate or contact us, what we do with it, and how to have it deleted.

What we collect

We only collect what you type or explicitly allow:

  • Contact details you submit. Name, phone number, email address, city, and whatever you write in the message field of our contact and estimate forms.
  • Property details you submit. Opening measurements, opening types, and the address or FEMA flood zone you enter into the estimate calculator or flood-risk lookup.
  • Location, only if you tap “use my current location.” The flood-risk tool can request your device location to look up the FEMA flood zone at that point. Your browser asks permission first, we use the coordinates for that single lookup, and we do not store them. Typing an address instead works exactly the same way.
  • Your postal address, only if you choose to give it. The estimate form has an optional address field. Fill it in and we post you our printed flood-protection guide. Leave it blank and you still get your estimate.
  • Your SMS consent, and the exact wording you agreed to. We record how and when you consented to be texted, and the disclosure shown to you at the time, so we can prove we only texted people who agreed.
  • Photos you upload to measure an opening. Used to estimate dimensions for your quote.
  • Aggregate usage analytics. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights record page views and performance timings. They are cookieless and do not build a profile of you.

We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

How we use it

To prepare your estimate, schedule an assessment, answer your question, and follow up about your project. If you become a customer we may email you about your installation and, after the work is done, ask you to leave a review.

Some of that follow-up is automated. If you asked for an estimate and we haven't finished the conversation, you may get a short sequence of emails over the following weeks about your quote or about storm season. Every one of them has an unsubscribe link, and one reply telling us to stop is enough. Text messaging is covered in its own section below. If you gave us your postal address we may post you our printed guide. That is the extent of it.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

SMS text messaging

By providing a telephone number and submitting a form on this website, you are consenting to be contacted by SMS text message and agreeing to this Privacy Policy. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of further messaging. Reply HELP for more information.

  • How you opt in. By submitting a form on this site that includes your phone number, by giving your number to us over the phone or in person, or by texting us first.
  • What we send. Messages about your estimate, scheduling and confirming your free assessment, installation and service updates, storm-season reminders, and occasional offers from Hydro Dam LLC. We do not send you messages on behalf of anyone else.
  • How often. Message frequency varies with your project. Most people receive only a handful of messages around a quote or an appointment.
  • Cost. We do not charge for these messages, but message and data rates may apply through your mobile carrier.
  • How to stop. Reply STOP to any message and we will stop texting you. Reply HELP for help, or call (727) 613-1415. Opting out of texts does not affect your estimate, your appointment, or your warranty, and we will still reach you by phone or email.
  • Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who provide support services to us, such as the messaging platform that delivers the texts, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Who processes it for us

Running the business means a few vendors handle your data on our behalf, under their own terms, and only to provide their service to us:

  • HubSpot — our CRM. Form submissions are stored here so we can track and respond to your request.
  • Vercel — website hosting and cookieless analytics.
  • Cal.com — assessment booking, if you schedule through the site.
  • Resend — transactional email we send you.
  • FEMA National Flood Hazard Layer— queried for flood-zone data. Address lookups are sent to FEMA's public map service to return the zone.

How we secure it

Every page and form on this site is served over HTTPS, so anything you submit is encrypted in transit. You can confirm it by the lock icon in your browser's address bar. Submissions are stored in the vendor systems listed above rather than on this website, and each of those accounts is access-controlled: only the people who need your information to quote, schedule, or service your job can open it.

We do not take payment through this website, so we never collect or store card numbers, bank details, or Social Security numbers here. If you send us sensitive information by email, understand that ordinary email is not an encrypted channel — call us instead and we will find a safer route.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are kept while they are commercially useful and then deleted. Customer records are kept for the length of the 5-year warranty period plus any time required for tax and contracting records, because we need them to honor a warranty claim.

Your choices

Email info@thehydrodam.com or call (727) 613-1415 to see what we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or stop hearing from us. We will action deletion requests unless we are required to keep a record for warranty or tax purposes, and we will tell you if that applies. You can decline or revoke the browser location permission at any time in your browser settings; the address field still works.

If we don't live up to this

If you believe we have not followed this policy, tell us directly and we will investigate it. Call (727) 613-1415 or email info@thehydrodam.com and we will respond within five business days with what we found and what we are doing about it. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can escalate the complaint to the Better Business Bureau.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes we will update the effective date at the top of the page.
