What we collect
We only collect what you type or explicitly allow:
- Contact details you submit. Name, phone number, email address, city, and whatever you write in the message field of our contact and estimate forms.
- Property details you submit. Opening measurements, opening types, and the address or FEMA flood zone you enter into the estimate calculator or flood-risk lookup.
- Location, only if you tap “use my current location.” The flood-risk tool can request your device location to look up the FEMA flood zone at that point. Your browser asks permission first, we use the coordinates for that single lookup, and we do not store them. Typing an address instead works exactly the same way.
- Photos you upload to measure an opening. Used to estimate dimensions for your quote.
- Aggregate usage analytics. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights record page views and performance timings. They are cookieless and do not build a profile of you.
We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
How we use it
To prepare your estimate, schedule an assessment, answer your question, and follow up about your project. If you become a customer we may email you about your installation and, after the work is done, ask you to leave a review. That is the extent of it.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who processes it for us
Running the business means a few vendors handle your data on our behalf, under their own terms, and only to provide their service to us:
- HubSpot — our CRM. Form submissions are stored here so we can track and respond to your request.
- Vercel — website hosting and cookieless analytics.
- Cal.com — assessment booking, if you schedule through the site.
- Resend — transactional email we send you.
- FEMA National Flood Hazard Layer— queried for flood-zone data. Address lookups are sent to FEMA's public map service to return the zone.
How we secure it
Every page and form on this site is served over HTTPS, so anything you submit is encrypted in transit. You can confirm it by the lock icon in your browser's address bar. Submissions are stored in the vendor systems listed above rather than on this website, and each of those accounts is access-controlled: only the people who need your information to quote, schedule, or service your job can open it.
We do not take payment through this website, so we never collect or store card numbers, bank details, or Social Security numbers here. If you send us sensitive information by email, understand that ordinary email is not an encrypted channel — call us instead and we will find a safer route.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are kept while they are commercially useful and then deleted. Customer records are kept for the length of the 5-year warranty period plus any time required for tax and contracting records, because we need them to honor a warranty claim.
Your choices
Email info@thehydrodam.com or call (727) 613-1415 to see what we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or stop hearing from us. We will action deletion requests unless we are required to keep a record for warranty or tax purposes, and we will tell you if that applies. You can decline or revoke the browser location permission at any time in your browser settings; the address field still works.
If we don't live up to this
If you believe we have not followed this policy, tell us directly and we will investigate it. Call (727) 613-1415 or email info@thehydrodam.com and we will respond within five business days with what we found and what we are doing about it. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can escalate the complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes we will update the effective date at the top of the page.
